Preparation meeting

Last weekend we had a fruitful preparation meeting together with all map makers and course setters, the national event controller, and last but not least our senior event advisor.

We look back to a productive weekend. Starting on Friday, we talked about organising strategies, maps, and old stories. On Saturday, we inspected terrains, event arenas and had a row of workshops about media work, trail-o, mapping and course setting. And of course, most important, we cycled more than 40 km and a few height meters through the maps of Rabenberg and Johanngeorgenstadt and discussed first course ideas. On Sunday we continued on the bikes and looked at the terrains, event arenas, and enjoyed the still friendly autumn weather at Fichtelberg and Thalheim. We decided for a new area as a starter for the masters, youth and juniors. The terrain near Thalheim provides a solid forest for a middle distance. Check out the new embargoed area and a new old map.
